Okay this ice cream is delicious and stunning. We couldn't help but hold out our ice creams for this pic. It truly is just as good as it looks!! I got the vanilla with Oreo crumbs and chocolate syrup drizzled on top and it was heaven in a cone. I mean look at these fish cones!! We were obsessed. The taste of the cone reminded us of a waffle cone and it's stuffed with the perfect amount of custard to add a little something something to your bite too. The store itself fits about 6 people at once so there may be a line out front but it moves fast.

I had been walking my daughter around this neighborhood for awhile after the park and museums and she wanted some ice cream since it was warm out. We hadn't really eaten much so I agreed just to replenish some energy, a quick map search popped this place up only 2 blocks away and decided to check it out. Really just a hole in the wall take out place, seating for maybe 3-4 people, but they also had a sign stating only 4 people(I think) at a time in the shop. Having never heard of Taiyaki before I'm glad we stopped in. We tried their Signature #1 Classic and I ordered Mochi mini taiyaki with strawberry cream. It was really cool to watch them pour the dough into the molds and make them fresh. The Classic was great, we were able to snack on it while the mini were being made. It was a perfect ice cream treat with a really delicious and fun "cone". My daughter loved the fish, and it was a nice rich dough but not too sweet. The mini mochi came out piping hot and they packed them up in a paper cup for us with the cream on the side. It was perfect to take back to the hotel with us to share with mom. They had a nice red bean filling, not too sweet, but a really nice soft texture. Mixed with the sweet strawberry cream it was a great dessert snack. Really cool place to check out, won't be surprised if we see them popping up on the west coast soon.

Came here for the second time while I was in town and it was very delicious! I wish there was an option to not add any custard, I wasn't really a fan- only wanted the cone and icecream

Visit this location for some taiyaki (waffles shaped in a fish) and ice cream! They offer a selection of flavors although it looks like matcha/hojicha is their most popular combo of flavors. If you're not craving ice cream, there are also pastries (mochi donuts) and lattes as well as traditional taiyakis filled with red bean or custard. The wait for my red bean taiyaki was a bit long but it was a busy night. Overall, would recommend checking this place out!

For the longest time, the only place you could get these cute little fish ice cream cones outside of Japan was in San Francisco. Taiyaki is a great add to the seaport area with a fairly large selection of soft serve flavors to be topped with crumbles and syrups. The fish cones are being made fresh, so don't be surprised by a line during its busier times. But stick around, it's definitely worth the wait!
